Why does the Association exist?

The Old Southendian Association exists in order to sustain friendships formed through the School and the Association for the benefit of past, present and future Southendians.

The Aims of the OSA include:

  • To sustain and strengthen the tradition of the Southend High School for Boys
  • To promote a close relationship with the School
  • To support the School both financially and practically
  • To give members opportunities of meeting in social reunion
  • To encourage the affiliated organisations and to promote the growth of others
  • To keep members informed of matters affecting the Association and the School

Who can join the Association?

Membership of the OSA is open to:

  • All past students of the Southend High School for Boys
  • Past and present members of the Staff of the School
  • Past and present members of the governing body
  • All past students of the School's predecessor - Southend-on-Sea Technical School
