Your President for 2020, Andy Crow (Athens, 1974-1981), has been hosting informal "Chin-wag" online video conferences, to give Old Southendians all over the world, and of all ages, a space to catch up and connect during these difficult times where so many other events and activities have been put on hold.

POSTPONED - John Dixon plays the War Memorial Organ

The Old Southendian Organ Society looks forward to welcoming John at a future date when it is safe to gather and enjoy his music.

Join the Organ Society for this unique event as John Dixon (Tuscany, 1968-75) returns to play a recital on the War Memorial Organ of his own compositions from both his published and unpublished catalogues.

Also featuring some of John’s compositions for solo piano and organ/piano duet, this is an evening not to be missed.

The Association is most pleased to announce this new Event!

Choose on the day from the extensive three course Menu, inclusive of a glass of Red or White Wine.

During the lunch we will be serenaded by the Casino’s resident pianist and the personal service at our table by the attentive staff will ensure a most pleasant and enjoyable lunch.

After Coffee or Tea, relax in the lounge areas or why not enjoy a flutter on the gaming tables and machines.

Subject to availability this event may be opened up to family and friends from 1st May. A reserve list will exist for bookings in this respect.

CANCELLED - A Musical Journey with Voces Novae (plus OSOS AGM)

Join the Organ Society for a mid-week recital from talented singers Voces Novae (which includes top students from both SHSB and SHSG). The programme will also feature music from the organ, and will explore some of the best compositions from the 16th Century to the present day with music by Morley, Bach, Wood, Chilcott (and more...)!
